Fitbit review

Fitbit is the app that allows you to get the data about your everyday activity in real-time. This app can be synchronized with the Fitbit trackers. You can download Fitbit on the mobile devices running on the Android and iOS platforms.

Functionality 5/5

Fitbit app is created for working with the trackers and smart scales that were released by Fitbit. The app takes the data from devices, synchronizes them, and provides you with essential insights. For example, it measures the steps you were walking through the day, your current heart rate, sleep quality, and so on. Combining all these, Fitbit app gives you useful tips on improving your health and well-being.

Design 4/5

Fitbit review showed that the application has a clean and user-friendly interface. The default background color is white, but the developers put the bright colors to highlight the menu tabs. Each section has its color, such as green, blue, or red. Unfortunately, sometimes the dark fonts are used on the dark background. As such, it becomes hard to read the information. The app contains a lot of graphics, charts, and other visualization interface elements.

Usability 5/5

As we mentioned in the Design section, the Fitbit interface is convenient to use. The first page you face once you install the application is the registration window. Fitbit has intuitive and understandable authentication logic.

Firstly, you will be asked to enter the email and the password. Then, you will see a small form where you should specify your personal information, such as birth date, weight, and age. The connection with the Fitbit devices is made through Bluetooth. The last step in the registration process is to specify the goals you want to achieve. After that, the app calculates the necessary day activity as well as the hours you should sleep.

You can find the settings tab on the main page where you can adjust some settings, such as the length of the step. Also, here you can find the notifications. Overall, the app has clean and intuitive navigation.

Cross-platform use 5/5

The app is available on mobile devices that run on the Android and iOS platforms. You can download and install it on Google Play and Apple Store, respectively. If your tablet hasn’t been upgraded for a long time or you prefer browser versions, the app is also compatible with Windows 8.1 and Mac.

In-app Purchases

The application is completely free to install and use. However, it offers additional in-app purchases. You can purchase the premium subscription that allows you to access premium features.

The Bottom Line

Fitbit is an amazing activity tracker app that has a lot of integrations with other services and platforms. It can now be synchronized with Alta, Flex,  Blaze, Alta HR, Flex 2, Charge HR, Surge, Charge, Aria, One, Charge 2, and Zip. You can download Fitbit on mobile devices for free.
